Summer Ballet Program

The well-known sophistication, grace, and elegance of ballet are qualities instilled by our dance program. Ballet’s technical precision also outlines an attentiveness to details that produces artistic beauty and can be applied to many areas of work and daily life. Our summer ballet program enhances students’ ballet technique, flexibility and strength in an enjoyable and focused environment.

Program I

Young Artist Day Camp – Ballet

June 17 – June 28
Age 5-10

Students enjoy a ballet-based exploration of the world of dance and performing arts, drawing from a variety of international cultures and illustrious folk traditions. All classes include authentic choreography, exposing dance theatre traditions shared from generation to generation. Lessons are designed to improve technical skills, coordination, and concentration as well as cultivate artistry and an appreciation of music.

Students will also explore traditional camp activities such as drawing, painting, and clay molding.

Program Details:

Date/Time: June 17-28, M-F 9:30am – 4:30pm
Cost: $1,050 ($535/week)

Early Drop-Off and Extended Care available.

2:00-3:00  Arts Enrichment (rotation of drawing, crafts, clay work, etc)
3:00-4:00  Outdoor Activity
4:00-4:30  Supervised Quiet Activity
4:30-5:30  (Optional) Extended Care ($10/day charge)

Program II

Ballet Intensive

June 17 – June 28
Age 11+

You will be challenged in this ballet intensive program to reach your maximum potential. This program focuses on improving technique, flexibility and strength as well as expanding students’ repertoire while maintaining an enjoyable and focused environment. Drawing from the Vaganova Method, we incorporate barre work, center work, and classical variations for a well-rounded learning experience. 

Program Details:

Date/Time: June 17-28, M-F 9:00am – 5:00pm
Cost: $1,450 ($750/week)

Early Drop-Off and Extended Care available.

Pre-School Summer Camp

 

June 17 – June 28
Age 3-4

This summer program aims to develop movement skills, enhance a sense of self expression, introduce rhythm & music, and foster cultural education through traditional folk stories and dances. We offer one & two-week sessions.

Program Details:

Date/Time: June 17-21,  June 24-28, M-F 
10:00am – 2:00pm
Cost: $750 ($425/week)

Early Drop-Off and Extended Care available.

Ms. Cinthia Conlon

Ballet Teacher
Cinthia Conlon earned her M.A. in Dance Education from New York University and has a background in classical ballet, visual art, and science. Ms. Conlon specializes in ballet pedagogy and received her teacher training through the ABT/NYU Master's Program where she became certified in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She genuinely enjoys working with young dancers and is dedicated to helping them achieve their highest potential.

Ms. Alyssa Puleo

Ballet Teacher
Ms. Puleo, a professional dancer and teacher, began her ballet career under Hanna Karacic in Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dance from the University of Oregon, with a focus in Kinesiology. She has over ten years of teaching experience and specializes in preparatory ballet, folk dance and technique coaching.
